Since 2002, Discover Church has been a family of people learning to follow Jesus together in Wadsworth, Ohio.
Our Story
How It All Started
In June of 2002, several families were motivated to start a new non-denominational church where spiritual needs would be met and the love of Jesus shared. What began in a tent has grown into a church family serving Wadsworth and beyond.
In 2019, our leadership felt God's leading to change our name from Key To My Father's House to Discover Church — a name that reflects the journey we want every person to be on: to discover God, discover purpose, and discover community.

FATHER'S DAY, 2002
A church begins in a tent
A handful of families gathered to start a new church centered on sharing the love of Jesus.
Summer 2002
Damon's Restaurant, Fairlawn
The growing congregation moved into the Sports Bar at Damon's, who even loaned their projection screens for worship.
FEBRUARY 2003
Ridgewood Party Center, Sharon Center
A bigger space made room for growth — and gave the student ministry its first real classrooms.
FOLLOWING YEARS
A permanent home on Reimer Road
After searching and praying for guidance, the church purchased its building at 1825 Reimer Rd — still home today.
2019
A new name: Discover Church
Leadership renamed the church from Key To My Father's House to Discover Church, reflecting our mission to discover God, purpose, and community.

A founding member since 2002, Debbie has been married to Al for 33 years and has five children and eight grandchildren. She organizes community events like Touch-A-Truck and Trunk or Treat.
