Our Story...

How it all started...

In June of 2002, several families were motivated to start a new non-denominational church, where spiritual needs would be met and the love of Jesus shared. The church began in a tent on Father’s Day 2002.   By the next week, the congregation moved to Damon’s restaurant in Fairlawn. Damon’s allowed the congregation to use the Sports Bar area each week and even gave them use of their projection screens for worship. By February of 2003, the congregation needed a bigger gathering place and found The Ridgewood Party Center in Sharon Center to be very accommodating. Moving the congregation to The Ridgewood Party Center allowed the church more room for growth and gave extra space for Sunday School classrooms.  Over the next three years, as the congregation continued to grow, there was a constant search for a permanent facility or land for purchase that would allow us to continue the growth and mission of the church .   We prayed for God’s guidance in leading us to the location where He wanted us to be, which turned out to be 1825 Reimer Road.   In 2019, the leadership of the church felt God's leading to change the name of the church from Key To My Father's House to Discover Church.  We believe Jesus is the priority on this journey and through his leading we desire to be a light to Discover God, Discover Purpose & Discover Community to the Wadsworth community.

We desire to continue our mission of spreading the love of Jesus by:
Helping each other Discover God, Discover Purpose & Discover Community
